Gonzales-Vigilar Psychiatric Services mission and values in Ashburn

Competent, Compassionate Care for All

Our mission is to deliver competent and compassionate care regardless of a patient's background or circumstances. We provide individualized psychiatric care and mind-body wellness therapies designed to help each person achieve overall wellness and a better quality of life. Dr. Vigilar is a longtime volunteer with the Loudoun County Free Clinic, reflecting our commitment to accessible, dignified mental health care for the community we serve. The practice is intentionally small so every patient is seen by a board-certified psychiatrist, and patients tell us they value how Dr. Gonzales-Vigilar takes time to listen, that we are accessible outside of appointments through the patient portal with a 24 to 48 hour response window, and that we do not give up on complex cases.

What Our Patients Say

★★★★★
"Dr. Vigilar is truly an excellent psychiatrist. In my ~23rd year of searching for a diagnosis, I found HER, and shortly thereafter that elusive diagnosis, through her time/expertise and testing/evals she ordered. I have been a partner in my treatment planning, and she listens to my concerns about effects of medications, etc, and provides alternatives as needed. It seems - to me - odd to rate a mental health doc, as my positive review will likely be offset by a person angry that on Day 1 they were not diagnosed and provided a pill that magically solves everything. It does not work that way; if you take a practical view of the process, and you expect to actively participate in getting better, then you will love Dr. V as much as I do. Highest recommendation."

★★★★★
"I've been seeing Dr. Vigilar since I was 14 years old, over 10 years ago. She has been a dream. It definitely feels like a partnership in the fact that you are collaborating on your care. She will never try to coerce you into a medication or treatment that you don't feel is a right fit for you. I have moved 8 hours away but will be making the trip to continue to see Dr. Vigilar!"

★★★★★
"Best Dr. of my 30+ year mental health journey, and first to accurately diagnose and treat my disorder; I am an 8yr patient. She has made me a PARTNER in my treatment; if you want to sit back, take a single pill and suddenly be better, there is something wrong with YOU, not the doctor! Waits to see her can be long - she is in-demand - so book ahead as best you can. She may also run late with your appt, only because she gives extra time to people who may be in crisis. Just remember she will do the same for YOU, if ever needed. HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION"
